Once the volume and diversity of your material have been taken into account, we take charge of shaping your future archive, arranging and digitizing your documents and preparing and structuring them for presentation on the worldwide web. We give meaning to structure so that your material is accessible and attractive.
All the pieces that make up your career, even the “loose” ones that don’t seem to fit a category, are gathered onto the well-ordered branches of a single tree that grows with each stage of your professional life.
MUSARCHIV is the brainchild of two people, both deeply committed to the world of classical music: Susana Lozano and Maria Weissenberg.
We both have remarkable backgrounds and experience in the fields of promotion, production and diffusion of classical music, as well as in the documentation, archiving and creation of websites. We’ve worked many years for prestigious institutions, including the Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as private companies such as KLÓPERA and Conciertos Vitoria.
We are passionate about pedagogy and have been fortunate enough to create and run successful courses on music and its relation to various artistic disciplines.

Our fluency in English, Spanish, Italian and French enables us to work with an international clientele and to handle any document that falls into our hands.
In collaboration with outside organizations, we have staged numerous Opera and Zarzuela productions, including Pergolesi’s La serva padrona (1996) in Madrid, Puccini’s La Bohème (1999) in Valencia, Haendel’s Giulio Cesare in Málaga (2003), Bellini’s Norma (2005) at the Festival de Mérida, Wolf Ferrari’s Il segreto di Susanna and Poulenc’s La voix humaine in Málaga, Bilbao, Jerez de la Frontera and Córdoba (2011).
We premiered and recorded Manuel García’s opera Don Chisciotte for the fourth centenary of Don Quijote with the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales (2005) in Castilla-La Mancha and the Maestranza of Sevilla; El poeta calculista by the same composer at the Festival delle Nazione, Città di Castello (2007), or the revival, with its corresponding recording for the RTVE Música label of Francisco Alonso’s zarzuela Curro el de Lora (2007) at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid.
Most recently, we have specialized in the development of websites that structure and present what we call an archive—that is, the documents, recordings, and other artifacts that make up the professional lives of our clients.

Our privileged list of contacts has enabled us to develop archival websites for such extraordinary personalities as Teresa Berganza, Alexis Weissenberg, Francisco Alonso, Alberto Zedda or José Luis Téllez, and we like to think that our customers – some, great friends and even family – are as satisfied with the result as we are.
Digitizing these works saves them from being lost to technological changes, ensuring that our clients’ legacies live on for future generations.
We are dedicated to taking on projects that will contribute to the cultural appreciation of art forms such as the Zarzuela, which currently lacks a worthy website where its treasures can be discovered. We are also working on an unpublished musical comedy based on Agatha Christie. We hope to see these and other exciting projects come to fruition!
